Danone has reported an increase in sales for the first quarter of 2015.
The organisation saw like-for-like growth of 4.8 percent in this period, meaning it achieved its target of an organic rise of between four and five percent.
European sales increased by 2.9 percent, slightly ahead of the 2.8 percent recorded in North America.
The strongest growth by far was in Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle-East and Africa, where a rise of eight per cent was reported.
Chief executive Emmanuel Faber said the company is working towards three key aims: to anchor its model of sustainable profitable growth, increase the competitiveness of its brands and businesses and shape the Danone 2020 agenda.
"This first set of results makes me strongly confident that, with the new executive committee and all teams, Danone is on the right track to reach a decisive milestone in 2015," he stated.
