Danone to share best practice at summit

15th October 2008

Danone is to share its best practice at a summit on corporate responsibility reporting and communications next month.

The company is one of over 25 leading corporate sustainability reporting leaders to take part in the summit, to be held in London on November 25th to 26th, Newswire reported.

Leaders will discuss the challenge of how to produce the best possible corporate responsibility report that stakeholders will read, in addition to other subjects such as assurance, employee engagement, multi-stakeholder audiences and materiality.

According to the news source, the number of corporate responsibility reports published each year has risen by 10,000 per cent in the past decade – and the UK’s current economic situation is adding more pressure to provide accountability and transparency in environmental and social areas.

Danone’s products include Actimel, which contains an L.casei Imunitass culture that maintains levels of “good bacteria” living in the gut to support the body’s defences.
