Dechra announces new feline hyperthyroidism CPD sessions

26th January 2011

Dechra has announced plans to conduct a series of continuing professional development (CPD) sessions on the topic of feline hyperthyroidism next month.

The first of these four events will take place in the Hilton Hotel in Watford on February 8th 2011 and will continue with meetings in Hertfordshire and London, before concluding in Twickenham on February 16th.

Each session will last for two hours and will be free of charge for animal health professionals, including veterinarians and vet nurses.

Dechra said the seminars will provide guidance on pathophysiology, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of the condition, which has become a prevalent health concern among cat owners.

A statement added: "Dechra is committed to providing a programme of CPD … and is one of the few companies to offer veterinary surgeons and nurses free training courses in a number of clinical areas."

Last month, the company announced that it will be acquiring Genitrix, the UK-based animal health firm responsible for the canine epilepsy product Libromide.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800366445-ADNFCR
