Dechra appoints new equine account managers

Dechra Veterinary Products has announced the appointment of Hilary Gates and Vicki Dawson as new equine account managers for the UK, offering dedicated support to equine veterinary professionals.

Both new employees are equine science graduates and former equine veterinary nurses, with Ms Dawson boasting almost a decade of experience working in the animal health market.

These appointments have been made in response to rising demand for products from the company's growing horse health portfolio, which includes everything from local anaesthetics to products for sedation, analgesia and euthanasia.

Dechra also recently introduced an Equine Passport leaflet, a Controlled Drugs Register, educational websites and Veteq client leaflets for customers in this market.

Emma Jennings, brand manager of Dechra Veterinary Products, said: "We see the appointments as an investment in this market, offering a consistent contact and specialist product and service support to equine vets."

Last month, the company expanded its canine health portfolio with the launch of Oxyglobin, a new tissue oxygenation offering for dogs affected by conditions such as anaemia.
