Dechra appoints new equine sales manager

23rd July 2015

Dechra has announced the appointment of Justine Whitmore, a former nurse with a background in pharmaceutical sales, as its new equine sales manager.

Ms Whitmore will be tasked with providing increased customer contact and support for veterinary professionals in the sector in the east of England. She specialises in cardiac and neurological intensive care medicine, and has also worked in a number of roles in the human pharmaceutical sales industry.

Her appointment represents a strategic investment by Dechra in its equine portfolio, which includes key products such as pain management treatments Osphos and Equipalazone.

Emma Jennings, brand manager of Dechra, said: "Justine's nursing and pharmaceutical knowledge means she is ideally placed to help Dechra extend the support it can offer veterinary professionals who work in the equine sector."

The company also announced introduction of a new, smaller bottle size option for its titratable analgesic product Comfortan this month.

Known as the UK's first vet-licensed methadone, the product is designed for use with cats and dogs in or about to experience moderate to severe pain.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801795304-ADNFCR
