Dechra appoints new territory sales manager for Ireland

29th September 2016

Dechra has announced the appointment of a new territory sales manager for Ireland in the experienced animal health professional Stephen McCaffrey.

Mr McCaffrey has been named as the new Dechra sales manager for Northern Ireland and the northern counties of the Republic of Ireland, succeeding Ivan Alcorn, who has now retired from the company.

A psychology graduate, Mr McCaffrey has a strong background in sales, with particular experience in the companion animal and trauma sector. He will provide a strategic link between the company and veterinary surgeries, offering support and the latest product information.

His appointment comes at a time when Dechra has recently expanded its portfolio in the Republic of Ireland.

Alison Casey, Dechra's business development manager for Ireland, said: "I am delighted that Dechra has secured the appointment of someone with such vast experience in fields that will directly support the day-to-day practice of veterinary professionals."

The company generated a revenue total of 203.5 million pounds in 2015, which represents an increase of ten percent on the previous year.
