Dechra launches new initiatives to improve dispensing in veterinary practices

Dechra has announced the launch of a pair of new initiatives to help facilitate dispensing in veterinary practices across the UK and Ireland.

A new online range of pack inserts is being introduced for several key products, including Vetoryl, Felimazole, Metrobactin and Thyforon, making it possible for vets to download and print up-to-date inserts with the most relevant information for the prescribed medication.

This will help to save time for staff, as they will no longer have to copy original documents from the pack. Additionally, the company has developed dispensing envelopes that will be made available for free from wholesalers in packs of 25.

It means practices will not have to keep hold of piles of inserts, while ensuring they are always providing the most up-to-date information to their clients.

Larry King, Dechra's marketing manager, said: "When used together, the pack inserts and dispensing envelopes provide practices with an effective solution when dispensing from bulk."

This comes after the firm recently introduced SmartTab, a new product design innovation that allows tablets to be easily divided into equal halves or quarters, ensuring accurate dosing of antibiotics.
