Dechra launches new Veterinary Essentials products
Dechra Veterinary Products has expanded its Veterinary Essentials range with the addition of two new products, which offer a variety of flexible animal health applications.
The company has introduced the sedative Alvegesic vet and the antibiotic Clavudale, both of which are designed for use on dogs and cats, with Dechra stating the products will be priced competitively.
Clavudale contains the broad spectrum antibiotic amoxicillin potentiated with clavulanic acid and is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial diseases, including soft tissue conditions, skin disease and dental infections.
Meanwhile, the butorphanol-containing Alvegesic vet can be used to deliver sedation, anaesthesia and analgesia via intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous routes, depending on indication.
It is also licensed for analgesia and sedation among horses.
Earlier this month, Dechra published data from a study of its Specific CJD Joint Support diet for dogs, demonstrating the product's efficacy in improving the general osteoarthritis condition among canines afflicted by joint pain.
