Dechra names new manager for UK and Ireland

5th December 2013

Dechra Veterinary Products has announced that Mark Floyd is to succeed Bob Parmenter as country manager for the UK and Ireland at the end of 2013.

Mr Parmenter is retiring from the company after more than 40 years of working in the animal health sector. He has been with Dechra since 2008 and is a former chairman of the National Office of Animal Health.

He is well known and respected throughout the veterinary industry and played a key role in various recent mergers and acquisitions executed by Dechra, including the purchases of VetXX, DermaPet, Genetrix and Eurovet.

His successor Mr Floyd is currently employed as Dechra's national sales manager and will take up his new role in January 2014.

The new UK and Ireland head said: "Bob's contribution both to Dechra in particular and the animal health industry generally cannot be overestimated. He will be a hard act to follow, but I am very much looking forward to the challenge."

This comes after Dechra appointed healthcare sector veteran Katie Wray as its new regional business manager in the Midlands last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801669415-ADNFCR
