Dechra raises hundreds of pounds for MS Society

28th December 2012

Dechra has helped to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society through a special seaside-themed social event and raffle organised by staff at its headquarters near Shrewsbury.

The raffle featured prizes donated by Dechra's suppliers and raised a total of 423 pounds, an amount that was matched by the company and presented to the Shrewsbury and District branch of the national charity.

Jock Smith of the MS Society extended his thanks to the animal health company for its support for the cause, as the charity's efforts to support MS patients and fund research into the disease are reliant on donations.

Bob Parmenter, UK and Ireland country manager at Dechra Veterinary Products, commented: "Around 100,000 people in the UK are affected by multiple sclerosis and it was our employees who decided which charity should benefit from their fundraising efforts."

In September 2012, Dechra was thanked by British vet Emma Robinson, who volunteered with an animal rescue charity in the Caribbean, for providing a range of donated products to support her trip.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801514035-ADNFCR
