Dechra to host webinars on treatment of canine adrenal disease

17th July 2017

Dechra has announced a pair of free webinars in July that will help veterinary professionals treat canine adrenal diseases more effectively.

Both webinars will be led by Emily Haynes, a veterinary technical advisor at Dechra, with each session qualifying participants for one hour of continuing professional development.

The first webinar will be hosted on July 19th, and will focus on how to achieve a confident diagnosis of Cushing's syndrome – also known as hyperadrenocorticism – as well as discussing how Dechra's therapy Vetoryl can be used to restore a dog's quality of life.

Craig Sankey, brand manager at Dechra Veterinary Products, said: "Hyperadrenocorticism is a rewarding endocrinopathy to diagnose and treat, as dogs commonly present with clinical signs which can have a negative impact upon both pet and owner."

Meanwhile, the second session will be held on July 25th and will focus on Addison's disease, also known as hypoadrenocorticism. It will address the challenges of diagnosing the condition, which tends to be associated with nonspecific clinical signs that can wax and wane.
