Dechra visited by environment secretary Owen Paterson

8th October 2013

Dechra Veterinary Products has been visited at its offices at the Sansaw Estate in Hadnall by Owen Paterson, the secretary of state for the environment, food and rural affairs.

Mr Paterson took a brief tour of the premises before meeting with senior staff for an update on Dechra's business, discussing various challenges facing the animal health industry across the livestock, pig and poultry sectors.

The North Shropshire MP said he was impressed by the company's commitment to supporting veterinary professionals through the funding of research and learning programmes and its donations of products to projects where vets are working overseas.

Dechra's country manager for the UK and Ireland Bob Parmenter said: "We were delighted to welcome the secretary of state to our offices and grateful he took time out of his busy schedule to hear about developments at Dechra."

This comes at a time when the company is experiencing significant growth, thanks in large part to the positive impact of its recent acquisition of Eurovet.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801647244-ADNFCR
