Dentsply Sirona and Kuraray Noritake Dental agree materials partnership

Dentsply Sirona has announced a new materials partnership for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) blocks with Kuraray Noritake Dental.

This partnership will allow users of Dentsply Sirona's CEREC system to benefit from access to an expanded range of composites, including the Katana Avencia CAD/CAM block, from the Japanese material producer.

The deal will also see Dentsply Sirona provide dental technicians throughout the world with validated milling strategies for zirconia discs from Kuraray Noritake Dental, for use with the inLab system.

Kuraray Noritake Dental has a strong reputation in the laboratory market, having recently launched the Katana Zirconia range of multi-layered discs, which replicate the natural structure of the teeth by combining a high-chromatic dentine core and an overlying translucent enamel layer.
