Dentsply Sirona announces takeover of Cleverdent

Dentsply Sirona has announced the acquisition of Cleverdent, a British dental technology company with its headquarters in Munster, Germany.

Cleverdent is responsible for creating ClasenUNO, an innovative tool that combines the functionality of a dental mirror and high-volume evacuation tip, which Dentsply Sirona sees as a valuable addition to its portfolio.

It offers efficiency gains for clinicians performing two-handed dentistry, reducing the need for four-handed procedures and enabling assistants to concentrate on other tasks. The device can be used across multiple wet and dry procedures, and in both preventive and restorative applications.

ClasenUNO was first introduced at the 2015 International Dental Show and has since been successfully launched in numerous European markets. It earned the 2016 iF Design Award in the medicine/healthcare category, recognising its design excellence.
