Dentsply Sirona launches new Intego Ambidextrous treatment centre

Dentsply Sirona has announced the launch of Intego Ambidextrous, a new treatment centre with an intelligent swivel mechanism to make it suitable for use for both left and right-handed practitioners.

Dentists who rely on either hand will both be able to work with the Intego Ambidextrous unit, which features a switch on the water unit that can be released by foot and then moved around the chair, with the backrest moving automatically to the right position.

The operating light, monitor and dentist element can also be easily repositioned, with the entire process taking only 15 seconds, meaning it can easily be carried out in the gap between two appointments.

No screws need be released or secured, meaning no special training is required to use it, while the intuitive and precise swivel movement also minimises the risk of damage to hoses or collision with other components.

Susanne Schmidinger, head of product management for Dentsply Sirona's treatment centres business, said: "This makes Intego Ambidextrous a byword for a practice concept without compromises, offering full flexibility for practitioners and assistants alike."

This comes after the firm introduced its new LEDview Plus treatment light for its Intego, Sinius and Teneo treatment centres earlier this month.
