Dentsply Sirona launches version 16.0 of inLab CAD SW software

17th November 2016

Dentsply Sirona has announced the launch of version 16.0 of its inLab CAD SW software for computer-aided design applications.

Following on from the successful introduction of version 15.0 last year, the new update provides a range of new features and is available for the Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.

Using the Removable Dental Prosthesis module, dental splints and individual impression trays can be designed using the new inLab Splint plugin for the first time, while the Implantology module has been extended to include screw-retained bridges and dental bars at an implant level.

This allows FLO-S Scanbodies from Atlantis to be scanned and identified with the inEos X5 system. Additionally, from next year, scan data can be transmitted to Atlantis for the design and production of suprastructures.

Another new feature, inLab Check, allows users to test the restorations they have designed to identify critical strain-sensitive areas, which is particular useful in large, complex cases, or instances where space is constricted.

Dentsply Sirona has also announced that its infiniDent production centre is launching a new production service for screw-retained bridges that have been independently designed by the customer in inLab CAD SW 16.0.
