Dentsply Sirona offers enhanced range of compatibility with CEREC TiBases

Dentsply Sirona has announced that the CEREC TiBase range has been expanded to encompass a wider range of leading implant systems.

For the first time, Dentsply Sirona Implants products that incorporate Ankylos and Astra Tech Implant System EV technology will be supported in CEREC, with TiBases and scanposts introduced for these as well as for BioHorizons and Osstem TS systems.

The TiBases, when used together with the corresponding scanposts, enable hybrid custom abutments or screw-retained crowns to be delivered in a single patient visit, offering substantial efficiency benefits for dental professionals.

TiBases form the basis of two-part customised abutments and can be used in a wide variety of applications, including as part of hybrid abutments.

Roddy MacLeod, group vice-president for CAD/CAM products at Dentsply Sirona, said: "These new CEREC TiBases allow dentists to treat patients not only in a single visit, but potentially with a workflow from a single source. The advantage of this is fewer treatment sessions for the patient and fewer suppliers needed for the dentist."

The firm demonstrated the benefits of this new range at the recent annual scientific congress of the European Association of Osseointegration in Paris.
