Dexcom Unveils New Live Glucose Monitoring Device

12th February 2024

Dexcom, a medical device firm, has announced their latest live glucose monitor, labelled Dexcom ONE+, which is currently available in Belgium, Poland and Spain.

The water-resistant glucose device includes a sensor and transmitter to send readings and alerts to the Dexcom One mobile app, which up to 10 individuals can access for shared monitoring.

The glucose monitor can be worn on the back of the arm or abdomen and includes a ‘delay first high’ feature to avoid multiple alerts, which has led individuals in the past to not respond. This means that alerts received are meaningful to the user.

The blood glucose monitor sector was estimated to be worth around $5 billion last year.
