DiaSorin reports rising revenue in 2009

16th February 2010

DiaSorin has published its financial breakdown for the 2009 fiscal year, during which the company saw its revenues grow compared to 2008.

The healthcare firm’s preliminary full-year results indicated consolidated annual net revenues of 304.1 million euros (264.7 million pounds) during the 12-month period, which represents an improvement of 24.3 per cent on its 2008 takings.

This was roughly in line with the year-on-year increase noted in the company’s third quarter revenues, which were 23.9 per cent higher than the corresponding period of 2008.

It attributed this performance to strong sales of product ranges such as Liaison, Clia and Biotrin, as well as its expansion into areas such as Canada, China and the Czech Republic.

The firm also highlighted growing demand for tests to measure vitamin D levels in both Europe and the US as another driver of business growth.

Based on these results, the company went on to predict that revenues in 2010 may grow by a further ten per cent.
