Diasorin: Revenue up 13.5%

Diasorin announced it has enjoyed a booming first quarter this year.

The company recorded strong gains in revenues, as its consolidated net figure totalled €56.6 million (£44.74million), which is up 13.5 per cent from the same period last year or 17.8 per cent at constant exchange rates, according to the company.

It also revealed a steady shift of revenue towards CLIA technology products which had boomed more than one-third (34.2 per cent) from the first quarter of 2007 accounting for more than half (56.6 per cent) of total revenues.

A company statement said: "In the first quarter of 2008, equipment sales accounted for a larger share of total revenues than in the same period last year, due mainly to the market penetration strategy adopted in China."

The Diasorin Group develops, produces and distributes immunoreagent kits for clinical diagnostics.

It employs more than 800 workers across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
