DiaSorin unveils first-half 2009 financial results
DiaSorin – a specialist in diagnostics – has released its financial results for the first half of 2009.
During the six-month period, the company saw its consolidated net revenues increase from 59.6 million euros (51.9 million pounds) during the second quarter of 2008 to 79.5 million euros. This marks a rise of 33.3 per cent.
Additionally, DiaSorin’s net profits rose to 23.9 million euros – an increase of 136.4 per cent compared to the correlating quarter of last year.
Factors contributing to this stronger performance, according to the company, include further sales of its CLIA products, the growth of vitamin D tests and the expansion of its LIAISION equipment – sales of which increased by more than 260 units in the first half of 2009.
DiaSorin develops, produces and markets reagent kits for use in clinical laboratory diagnostics and is made up of 20 different firms based around the world.
