Dionex launches AutoTrace 280 system

28th August 2009

Dionex has announced the availability of its AutoTrace 280 system – an automated solid-phase extraction (SPE) instrument suitable for use with large volume (20 mL–4 L) samples for the isolation of trace organics in water or aqueous matrices.

Compounds of interest on SPE adsorbents are captured by the AutoTrace 280 system before being eluted with strong solvents in order to produce an extract ready for analysis.

The instrument helps to save time, labour and solvent, as well as ensuring high reproducibility for analytical laboratories, the firm claims.

A maximum of six samples within a two to three-hour timeframe can be produced by the AutoTrace 280 system, with 15 minutes of operator participation required.

Improved electronics, a multiple-switching valve and a USB port for PC connection are all features of the product.

In March, Dionex showcased its Simply Intelligent Chromeleon-7 Chromatography Data System, which it claimed provides users with the "fastest, easiest path from samples to result".
