DJO Global appoints new board members

DJO Global has appointed James Lawson and James Quella to its board of directors, following the departure of Bruce McEvoy.

Mr Lawson is a medical industry veteran who brings more than 35 years of sector-relevant experience to the role, while management expert Mr Quella will employ his talents as part of the company's compensation committee.

This comes after Mr McEvoy announced his departure from the company on September 11th 2012, while also vacating his posts on its audit and compensation committees, following nearly five years with the organisation.

Mike Mogul, DJO Global's president and chief executive officer, said: "We look forward to their contribution to the board of directors and expect their broad industry, executive and board experiences to make a terrific impact at DJO Global."

Last month, the company announced a new alliance with the University of Utah to develop an implant prosthesis for above-the-knee amputees, providing an alternative to traditional socket technology.
