DJO Global confirms record results in 2011
DJO Global has confirmed record-breaking financial results in 2011, thanks to new product launches and the successful execution of its business strategy.
The medical technology firm's full-year net sales total came to $1.07 billion (678.21 million pounds), up by 11.3 percent compared to 2010, while also surpassing the billion-dollar mark for the first time in its history.
All of the company's business units saw growth over the year, with new products such as the Exos range of upper extremity products, Reaction knee brace and Compex wireless muscle stimulator all proving popular.
The organisation also saw substantial financial benefits from the recent acquisitions of Elastic Therapy, Circle City Medical and Dr Comfort.
Mike Mogul, DJO's president and chief executive officer, said: "We have become increasingly optimistic about the depth and breadth of opportunities available to add value to our customers and to accelerate DJO's revenue growth."
Earlier this month, the company introduced a number of new bracing and support products at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeon meeting, including OA Nano and IceMan Clear3.
