DJO Global launches new MotionMD clinical software

DJO Global has announced the launch of MotionMD, a new paperless software solution designed to help orthopaedic clinics optimise their productivity and enhance patient experiences.

The web-based point-of-care solution is designed to streamline claims management and inventory dispensing, improve patient satisfaction, increase billing compliance and streamline workflows by providing seamless interoperability with clinic records.

Once a patient is diagnosed, customised protocols are used to identify the best products for them, with a patient agreement form automatically generated containing insurance and product information.

Patients can then use a touchscreen device to sign electronically and receive the product, receiving an automated email at a later date containing a receipt and useful educational information.

Mike Peters, executive vice-president and chief information officer for DJO Global, said: "When we designed MotionMD, we recognised that when the doctor's office runs efficiently, it is easier for patients to receive the quality of care they deserve."

During the first quarter of the year, the company achieved year-on-year net sales growth of 12.7 percent, with new product launches helping to drive this growth.
