DJO Global sees double-digit Q1 2012 sales growth
DJO Global has published its financial results for the first quarter of 2012, reporting an 11.7 percent year-on-year rise in sales.
The medical technology firm generated revenues of $278.9 million (172.39 million pounds), with the strength of its annual growth driven in part by last year's acquisitions of Circle City Medical and Dr Comfort.
Exceptional performances were observed for the bracing and vascular and surgical implant business segments, as well as brands such as Exos, Turon and RSP Monoblock.
Mike Mogul, DJO's president and chief executive officer, said: "We saw improved momentum in nearly all of our businesses in the first quarter, based on successful new product launches and improved commercial execution."
The business leader went on to note that its accelerated product launch strategy – which began to positively impact growth rates in the fourth quarter of last year – has continued to produce benefits, which will be felt throughout the rest of 2012.
It means the firm is well-positioned to build on its record performance in 2011, during which it achieved a 12-month net sales total of $1.07 billion.
