DJO Incorporated experiences second quarter growth

10th August 2010

DJO Incorporated has reported a solid performance in the second quarter of 2010 after seeing a year-on-year growth in net sales.

The company’s operating subsidiary DJO Finance stated that net sales from continuing operations in the quarter totalled $242.5 million (153.8 million pounds), up by 3.2 per cent compared to Q2 2009.

This contributed to overall first half growth of 6.6 per cent, which was also attributed to new product launches in its Bracing and Supports, Empi and Chattanooga business units.

It has also seen a notable improvement in its international sales and now expects to record enhanced annual sales and earnings figures for the full year period.

Les Cross, president and chief executive officer of DJO Incorporated, said: “We are pleased to report solid second quarter results, completing a good first half for fiscal 2010 … we continue to view 2010 as an exciting year for DJO.”

Earlier this year, the company announced that it has now produced more than one million units of its DonJoy Defiance knee brace, having originally launched the product in 1992.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800018924-ADNFCR
