DJO sees net sales increase in 2010

28th January 2011

DJO has published preliminary financial results for the 2010 full-year period, during which the company experienced a growth in global sales.

The medical device manufacturer's net sales total rose to $966 million (606.66 million pounds), up from $946.1 million in the preceding fiscal year.

DJO's bracing and supports, surgical implants, recovery sciences and international divisions each experienced single-digit percentage sales improvements, thus helping the firm to grow despite a difficult business climate.

Les Cross, president and chief executive officer of DJO, expressed confidence that these positive trends will continue in 2011 as the overall economy continues to recover.

"I would like to extend our appreciation to all DJO employees for a job well done in the fourth quarter and all of 2010," he added.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Mr Cross will be retiring from his current position and will transition into the new role of non-executive chairman of the board between now and June 30th 2011.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800371895-ADNFCR
