Dr Foster Intelligence co-founder to leave company

10th March 2010

Dr Foster Intelligence has announced that its co-founder Tim Kelsey is to depart the company for a new role at McKinsey and Company.

Mr Kelsey will leave his position as chair of the executive board, having helped to create the medical information company in 2000 alongside Roger Taylor.

He stated that he is leaving the firm “after much deliberation” to pursue a new challenge at McKinsey and Company, where he will take charge of developing health and public service information strategies on an international basis.

The company states that it has no plans to find a replacement for his position as the head of the executive board.

Tom Moloney, Dr Foster Intelligence’s chief executive, praised the “pioneering” work Mr Kelsey has done in establishing the firm in the sector.

He added: “Tim has been an inspiring leader ? but he has also had the foresight to plan his own departure, which means that we are well set to continue the Dr Foster story.”
