Dr Reddy’s reports strong results for first half of 2014

12th November 2013

Dr Reddy's Laboratories has announced positive financial results for the first half of its 2014 business year, which ended on September 30th 2013.

The company's revenues for the six-month period came to 62 billion rupees (610.51 million pounds), up by 14 percent year on year, while its earnings total saw a 22 percent jump over the same timeframe.

Strong results for its global generics business helped to offset the relative weakness of its pharmaceutical services and active ingredients segment, while the amount invested in research and development saw an increase.

During the most recent quarter, Dr Reddy's launched 19 new generic products, filed 13 new product registrations and submitted eight Drug Master Files globally. The strong growth seen in the US and emerging markets such as Russia were instrumental in its success.

The company continues to pursue growth and further success despite the passing of its founder and chairman Dr K Anji Reddy earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801659886-ADNFCR
