Edelman boss comes top in PRWeek’s health comms Power Book 2018

Edelman's managing director for health brands Kate Hawker has been named top in a 'power list' of professionals in the healthcare and pharmaceutical communications market.

PRWeek has compiled the list as part of its Power Book 2018, which has placed Ms Hawker in first place as she manages one of the biggest public relations healthcare practices in the industry.

In second place was Jane Brearley, who is a partner and global head of health at Portland, while managing director of Ogilvy Health PR Antonia Betts was named third on the list.

Completing the top five were Julie Adrian of Syneos Health in fourth place and Lucie Harper, UK chair of health at Weber Shandwick, in fifth.

Also featured in PRWeek's list of the top ten powerful names in the healthcare comms sector were chief executive officer of Four Health Communications Alexa Forbes (seventh place) and Victoria Wright, managing director of Publicis Health, in tenth.
