EKF Diagnostics launches Hemo Control haemoglobin analyser

27th April 2015

EKF Diagnostics has announced the launch of its next-generation Hemo Control point-of-care diagnostics analyser, a simple testing system for haemoglobin and haematocrit levels.

The device enables a full upgrade with data management functionality as required, giving the user complete flexibility over their future connectivity options via its bi-directional interface.

Benefits of the system include its ability to easily communicate with hospital and laboratory systems using the new LIS2-A2 communication standard, allowing it to connect directly to third-party software and middleware.

The Hemo Control device is being made available as a cost-effective basic device which stores up to 4,000 patient results. It requires no docking station when handling on-board data management, with simple cable connections and integrated Bluetooth technology.

Katja Lemburg, global product manager for haematology at EKF Diagnostics, said: "Our new Hemo Control with flexible DM upgrade and bi-directional connectivity is ideal for customers who wish to keep their connectivity options open."

This comes after the firm last month entered into a four-way collaboration aimed at developing ways of improving clinical decision-making in the treatment of colon cancer.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801785272-ADNFCR
