EKF Diagnostics’ Quo-Test and Quo-Lab show benefits in new study
EKF Diagnostics has announced the publication of a new white paper highlighting the strong performance of its Quo-Test and Quo-Lab glycated haemoglobin analysers in a recent study.
Scientists at Imcarmed have compared four point-of-care methods with established laboratory techniques for the determination of blood glucose levels in diabetes management, finding that Quo-Test and Quo-Lab met all of the requirements set by the German Medical Association.
The accuracy trial of the four point-of-care methods was performed with 100 different EDTA blood samples over four days, with the results then compared with those gathered using laboratory-based HPLC and immunological methodologies.
EKF's Quo-Test was noted as being particularly easy to use and therefore ideal for use by non-laboratory trained users, as well as providing the closest correlation with both evaluated laboratory methods in terms of accuracy.
This comes after the company expanded its acclaimed product portfolio with the introduction of the European CE Mark-approved quantitative strip-based test STAT-Site M Beta-HB earlier this year.
