Elsevier announces launch of 250 health sciences titles
Elsevier has revealed that almost 250 health sciences titles due to be published within the next year will be unveiled in October.
The subject matter encompassed by these books includes veterinary medicine, clinical medicine and various aspects of the health profession.
Linda Belfus, senior vice-president of global clinical reference for health sciences at Elsevier, said that the company remains "dedicated" to expanding its portfolio of medical books through ScienceDirect.
"The launch of our 2009 and 2010 collections provides an important opportunity for researchers across the globe to gain access to our clinical medicine titles," she added.
This announcement follows the news last month that Elsevier’s H1N1 information channel was launched via the company’s Global Medical Wire News service.
It provides information for physicians to help them stay abreast of new diagnostics, vaccines, clinical trials and treatments related to the swine flu virus.
