Elsevier appoints editor-in-chief for neurobiology journal

20th January 2011

Elsevier has selected Professor John Guzowski as the new editor-in-chief of its medical journal Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.

Professor Guzowski of the University of California, Irvine took over the position from Professor Paul Gold on January 1st 2011 and will seek to maintain the journal's status as the leading publication in this area.

He has extensive experience researching topics such as gene expression and the biological mechanisms behind long-term memory and has been recognised as a pioneer in the field.

The professor stated that he will seek to expedite the journal's review process during his tenure as editor-in-chief, which will help to prompt better communication with authors.

"I take over as editor with the journal in a very strong position and will work to increase its presence in up-and-coming research areas of interest to the field," he added.

Earlier this month, Elsevier became the new publisher of Value in Health, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research's official journal.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800353995-ADNFCR
