Ferring names new chief financial officer
Ferring has announced the appointment of Dominic Moorhead as its new executive vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective as of July 1st.
Mr Moorhead will assume full responsibility for the finance, corporate information systems and internal audit functions of Ferring following a three-month transition process. The new role will leverage his 30 years of finance and business experience in the life sciences industry.
He has spent the last year serving as a strategic advisor to executives and investors in the biotech industry, while prior to this, he worked for Takeda Pharmaceuticals for four years as its global financial controller and CFO of the international business.
Michel Pettigrew, president of the executive board and chief operating officer of Ferring, said: "His extensive experience and perspectives in finance, business and strategic development in the pharmaceutical sector make him a great fit for Ferring as we continue on our strong growth path."
Mr Moorhead has been appointed as the successor to Peter Wilden, who joined Ferring 25 years ago and was one of the original members of the group executive board. He will be stepping down from the CFO role, but will continue to represent Ferring on a number of additional boards.
