Fleishman-Hillard appoints new head of UK operations

2nd February 2011

Fleishman-Hillard has announced that John Saunders is taking charge of the media agency's operations in the UK.

Mr Saunders, currently the firm's regional president for continental Europe and Ireland, will take over leadership for both Britain and Africa from Kevin Bell, who left the company last month.

The Dublin resident is the co-founder of Pembroke Public Relations and helped to set up Fleishman-Hillard Saunders in 1990, which was subsequently absorbed into the main operation in 2001.

He has served in his current role since 2004 and is also a member of Fleishman-Hillard's senior management committee.

Dave Senay, president and chief executive officer of the firm, said: "His track record of excellent client service, staff career development and successfully managing across geographies makes him the ideal choice to unite Europe, the UK and Africa under a single leader."

This comes after Fleishman-Hillard enjoyed a successful year of recruitment in 2010, with Mr Senay hailing the company's ability to attract top-level executives and "prominent game-changers" to the organisation.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800381700-ADNFCR
