FleishmanHillard Fishburn appoints new healthcare head

FleishmanHillard Fishburn has announced the appointment of John Gisborne as the new managing director of its healthcare team.

Mr Gisborne previously served as head of global health at MHP Communications, working for the agency for nearly three years prior to his departure in February, reports PRWeek.

In his new role at FleishmanHillard Fishburn, he will be part of the firm's executive committee and will be working closely with the healthcare team to expand its scope within the FleishmanHillard global network.

With other previous employers including Hill and Knowlton Strategies, he has experience of working with a number of health and pharmaceutical sector clients, as well as advising businesses in the energy, supply chain and FMCG sectors.

Mr Gisborne said: "In these times, effective communications is all-important and we are well placed to help current and new clients expand the impact it can have on their businesses."

FleishmanHillard and Fishburn merged their UK operations to form FleishmanHillard Fishburn last November, with the combined agency ranked as one of the top ten PR firms in the UK.
