FleishmanHillard Fishburn wins brief with mobile brand Alcatel
FleishmanHillard Fishburn has been handed a new brief by Alcatel, a leading provider of mobile technology.
The agency has been selected as Alcatel's new creative lead for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region following a competitive pitch, with work on the account commencing in January, reports PRWeek.
According to the report, FleishmanHillard Fishburn will assist Alcatel with its consumer comms and content strategy at a European level, with all aspects of the account led by Lauren Winter, the agency's head of consumer and EMEA brand marketing.
Alcatel was established in 2004 as a joint venture between Alcatel-Lucent and Hong Kong-based telecoms provider TCL, with the latter company taking over as sole owner of the business the following year. Its flagship smartphone brands include the Pop, Pixi and Idol product lines, while it also offers tablets such as the Plus 10.
FleishmanHillard Fishburn, meanwhile, was formed in late 2015 through the merger of the UK offices of the Omnicom-owned PR agencies FleishmanHillard and Fishburn. It employs more than 200 people.
