Forest Laboratories names new executive team members

Forest Laboratories has announced a series of new appointments to its executive team as part of its Project Rejuvenate business restructuring initiative.

The new team consists of Elaine Hochberg, Bill Meury, Frank Perier Jr, Dr Marco Taglietti, Bob Bailey, Alex Kelly, Sally Paull, Kevin Walsh and Joe Zimmerman, each of whom will take on a different responsibility.

Meanwhile, David Solomon – senior vice-president for corporate development and strategic planning at Forest – will become senior advisor to chief executive officer (CEO) and president Brent Saunders, taking charge of business development and alliance management on a transitional basis.

The next step in Project Rejuvenate is for the Forest leadership team to design and staff their respective organisations in a manner that will allow for the flattening and broadening the company as a whole.

Mr Saunders said: "We are announcing an important step to rejuvenate our company by creating the first Forest executive team with broad leadership responsibilities, a sharp focus and clear accountability for driving sustainable growth."

This comes after Mr Saunders was appointed as the successor to Howard Solomon in the CEO role in October 2013.
