Forster Communications to support NHS volunteering organisation HelpForce
Forster Communications has been handed a new brief to help promote and support the NHS volunteering organisation HelpForce.
Newly established to maximise the use of volunteers to assist NHS staff, HelpForce has selected Forster to manage its positioning and voice, with comms strategy and stakeholder engagement services to be provided throughout the year, reports Gorkana.
HelpForce is looking to double the number of volunteers working in the NHS by 2021 by highlighting how volunteer work benefits NHS patients, health and social care services, charities and the community as whole, as well as offering enriching experiences for volunteers themselves.
The agency will work in partnership with organisations including NHS England, the Royal Voluntary Service, the British Red Cross and the NHS trusts that are running HelpForce pilot programmes.
Forster chief executive officer Amanda Powell-Smith said: "HelpForce is an exciting combination of innovation and common sense that can make a significant contribution to vital healthcare challenges."
