Fort Dodge Animal Health says producers can have access to experts

30th June 2009

Fort Dodge Animal Health has said any producers who use its synovex implants and Cydectin parasite control products have access to its team of knowledgeable and experienced veterinarians.

The company has announced Micro PVP ? which is an age and source verification component ? will be added to its Prime Protection Plus programme, thanks to a deal with Micro Beef Technologies.

Producers can enroll their cattle under the scheme and it is designed to help simplify the age-verification process so people in the sector can concentrate on their animals, rather than the paperwork.

It also offers pre-weaning protocols that help to enhance the value of calves, while addressing vaccination and parasite control needs.

“The programme also provides calf buyers with certified vaccination and weaning histories, in addition to the new age and source verification,” asserted the business.

“Involvement in the programme also qualifies producers to participate in value-added calf sales at local sale barns.”

Founded in 1912, Fort Dodge Animal Health became a division of Wyeth in 1945.
