Freuds staffer departs and hires agency for new app venture Kindeo

9th August 2016

Freuds has confirmed that its chief creative officer Seb Royce has left the agency, having been hired last July.

Mr Royce was appointed to the role last year from video tech company Rockabox, while prior to this he spent almost 13 years at the digital agency Isobar. His clients at Freuds included Diageo, PepsiCo, Nike, Mars, comparethemarket.com and Asda, reports PRWeek.

He has left his role at Freuds in order to spend more time developing Kindeo, a new app business dedicated to providing users with a single place in which to record their memories.

Since departing, he has hired Freuds to handle PR for the app, meaning he will maintain a connection to the agency.

Andrew McGuinness, chief executive officer of Freuds, said: "With the increasing success of his app, Kindeo, Seb has decided to focus more of his attention on the development of that business. I am delighted to say that Freuds will be continuing to work with him by handling Kindeo's PR going forward."

The agency was founded in 1985 and is based in London, with more than 250 specialists working for the business.
