Fujifilm SonoSite receives CE Mark approval for iViz system
Fujifilm SonoSite has announced that its new point-of-care system iViz has been granted European CE Mark approval.
This new platform is designed to augment the value of ultrasound for clinical users in hospital settings, as well as allowing clinics in remote villages to perform ultrasound when and where it is needed.
It provides clinicians with seamless access to patient data, online applications and learning resources, and integrates with hospital IT and EMR systems to obtain demographic information and submit reports.
Other key features include its lightweight design, high-resolution seven-inch display touchscreen, vibrant colour flow images, Wi-Fi capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, and interface ports for USB, HDMI and audio.
Masayuki Higuchi, president and chief executive officer of Fujifilm SonoSite, said: "Fujifilm SonoSite delivers a powerful and valuable solution to the market with the launch of iViz. It is a revolutionary tool that reaches new levels of mobility, image performance, and connectivity."
The company is a world leader in bedside and point-of-care ultrasound systems, with a global distribution network spanning more than 100 countries.
