Future Science Group launches special issue of anti-infective journal

19th March 2012

Future Science Group is publishing a special focus issue of its journal Expert Review of Anti-infective Therapy, centring on immunomodulation and infection.

The March issue of the publication is guest-edited by Tracy Hussell of Imperial College London and Marie-Therese Labro of Inserm in France, and features cutting-edge articles relevant to clinicians and life scientists.

Discussing how immunomodulation of infection is being used to aid or replace current therapies, the journal will include contributions from experts in the fields of viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic and prion infection.

According to Ms Labro, these issues are gaining prominence due to the emergence of infectious diseases and drug-resistant pathogens worldwide.

She added: "Both clinicians and fundamental scientists will find incentives to read this issue and share recent viewpoints in this domain."

This comes after Future Science Group launched a new issue of the journal Personalised Medicine earlier this month, in order to highlight the European Science Foundation's new Forward Look initiative.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801320718-ADNFCR
