GE Healthcare agrees takeover of Novia Strategies

20th July 2017

GE Healthcare has announced the acquisition of Novia Strategies, a healthcare consulting firm founded and led by clinicians.

The US-based consultancy offers deep experience helping organisations transform their operations while delivering critical outcomes, providing proven methodologies and first-hand clinical experience in hospital operations.

With this takeover, GE Healthcare is seeking to become the leading provider of outcomes-based solutions, with Nova Strategies' capabilities helping to accelerate GE Healthcare's activation of large-scale health system transformations.

Novia Strategies will become part of GE Healthcare Camden Group, which has advised more than 2,400 hospitals and health systems on critical issues such as redesigning care delivery, accelerating health system integration and maximising the use of resources.

Laura Jacobs, president of GE Healthcare Camden Group, said: "Their hands-on clinical and operational expertise in areas like care management, productivity management, compensation and benefits, pharmacy, and non-labour cost reduction will broaden our ability to help clients tackle their most complex challenges."
