GE Healthcare and Roche to develop new digital health solutions

11th January 2018

GE Healthcare has announced a new partnership with Roche to develop a new digital diagnostics platform to improve oncology and critical care treatment.

The companies have agreed to create and co-market a range of digital clinical decision support solutions, with the aim of accelerating and improving access to individualised treatment options.

This new integrated digital platform will use advanced analytics to provide workflow solutions and apps that support clinical decisions, bringing together analysis capabilities for in-vivo and in-vitro data, patient records, medical best practice, real-time monitoring and the latest research outcomes.

For example, oncology care teams will gain access to a comprehensive data dashboard to review, collaborate and align on treatment decisions, while critical care workers will be able to assess data from hospital monitoring equipment and analyse them alongside biomarker, tissue pathology, genomic and sequencing data.

Kieran Murphy, president and chief executive officer of GE Healthcare, said: "We believe this alliance will help accelerate the delivery of data-driven precision health for customers, patients and the healthcare industry."
