GE Healthcare expects 10% increase in life sciences sales

18th March 2016

GE Healthcare has revealed it expects to see an increase in life science sales this year.

The company believes it is on track to see sales go up by at least ten per cent in this division, which is responsible for products such as chromatography, imaging and cell-therapy tools.

GE Healthcare is currently in the process of moving its global headquarters from the UK to Chicago, which could facilitate further growth in the coming years.

John Flannery, chief executive officer of the firm, said: "It's a fundamentally attractive industry with growth, and we have a very strong competitive position.

"We are certain this business grows faster inside of GE than it would grow outside."

GE Healthcare is one of GE's largest divisions and racked up sales of $17.6 billion last year.
