GE Healthcare launches Centricity Advance – Mobile for iPad

10th August 2011

GE Healthcare has announced the launch of a new version of its Centricity Advance practice management system for Apple's iPad.

Centricity Advance – Mobile is aimed at primary care physicians in small practices and allows users to take advantage of the features of the system without needing to remain at a desktop.

It means that they will be able to enter information into electronic medical records at any time, including during interactions with the patient, making it easier to respond instantly to requests.

The new application will also allow physicians to order, digitally sign for and route a new prescription to a pharmacy via the iPad for the first time.

Mike Friguletto, vice-president and general manager of GE Healthcare IT's clinical business solutions, said: "We are pleased to be able to offer our Centricity Advance users a new medium for interacting with the patient record and the patient, representing the true value of healthcare IT."

Last month, the company launched Centricity Practice Solution 10, a new version of its clinical software that offers a range of new features.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800695470-ADNFCR
