GE Healthcare unveils Centricity OneView

26th November 2007

GE Healthcare has announced the unveiling of its web-based clinical information and workflow management system, the Centricity OneView, at the RSNA in Chicago this week on booth 1729.

The system is designed to connect a number of radiology information system (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) solutions.

It seeks to act as a single access point for both technologists and radiologists to connect organisations to images, reports and status data irrespective of their system of origination, with access to consolidated and complete patient imaging records to boost enterprise workflow.

Don Woodlock, vice president and global general manager of GE Healthcare Imaging Solutions, said: “Internal departments and external partners often use a variety of RIS or PACS, which often lacks consolidated imaging record data. Centricity OneView connects records across multiple systems and provides a single view of the patient’s imaging data.”

He added that the Centricity OneView system offers a holistic view of diagnostic clinical data, supporting the process of transforming raw figures into useful information.

In October 2007, GE Healthcaree announced the purchase of web-based image and information management company Dynamic Imaging, with this acquisition including the company’s IntegradWeb product suite.
